Life as a Leach

I've had a few extra kids here since Saturday, while my sister and brother in law were in the hospital with their youngest doing some intensive testing.  She has some problems with her blood sugar and they were able to see a specialist to get lots of questions answered and develop a plan. So the other three have been with us!  Matt and Owen were gone all day on Valentine's Day because of the Sweetheart Dinner, but our celebrations continued on Monday and into Tuesday with our snow day! I made some photo booth props because I thought they would find them entertaining.  Boy, was I right!  I have many pictures to share with various props. but here are a few of the Valentine's Day pics.

I had an idea for Valentine's Day to write characteristics of the kids and Matt on hearts.  Then I decorated their doors with it!  The reactions matched their personalities to a T! Abby was beside herself and had me read everyone multiple times. Caleb never even said anything about it until I asked him specifically about what he thought about it.  He said he saw it.  Matt said I was cute. Regardless of reactions, I thought it was a sweet way to tell my loves how much I adore them!

*  Pirates' Booty Puff Corn *  My iPhone (what in the world did I ever do without it?!) *  Being competitive against my husband on Words With Friends (I always win Scrabble when we play, but the lapse between turns makes it difficult for me to focus and I make poor word decisions.) *  The Wood Camera app on my phone that has way more filters and lenses than Instagram.  You can even straighten an image or add a vignette.  *  The way Abby calls Caleb "Caleb Boy" and Matt "Daddy Matt." *  The gratification of seeing students I work with in my position begin to understand material and improve their grades! *  That I haven't been to Baltimore for a doctor's appointment for Abby since January 4th.  This is most certainly a record.  (Unfortunately, our streak ends next Tuesday!) *  Manufacturer's coupons for International Delight's Iced Coffee.  I thoroughly enjoyed my iced mocha this morning. *  Taking Abby to ...
