Videos From the North Pole

Caleb, Abby, and Matt got video messages from the North Pole the other day! http://washfm.portablenorthpole.com/watch/gcf5c_5g13KGt7GbWO9vLIw?utm_campaign=share-video&utm_medium=share&utm_source=copy-paste Caleb's http://washfm.portablenorthpole.com/watch/g-GAFjGIbR3wMAT3U5NPLug?utm_campaign=share-video&utm_medium=share&utm_source=copy-paste Abby's http://washfm.portablenorthpole.com/watch/gFJTootW_rmuqTjVv3_SDRA?utm_campaign=share-video&utm_medium=share&utm_source=copy-paste Matt's Sadly, Matt is on the Naughty Watch List...guess he needs to stop laughing at his own jokes--especially when they aren't even funny!  You've got a few more weeks to turn it around and get yourself on the nice list, Matty!

Then and Now

Abby then... Abby now!

Festival of Trees

The Festival of Trees, a huge fundraiser for our local Hospice, is a beautiful place to get lots of nice pictures.  I dressed the kids up in hopes of getting some sweet shots.  Well... If one smiled, the other didn't. If one looked, the other didn't. If one tackled, the other gave him a dirty look. If one is completely done with pictures, so is the other one! Oh well...it was a nice thought.  :)

The Duggars

I just heard today that Michelle Duggar lost her baby, and my heart broke for her.  I read the article and a few of the comments left by people.  Quite a few alluded to the idea that it serves her right for having so many kids, and that's just sad to me. Regardless of how you feel about their choices on family planning, remember that Michelle is a mother, Jim Bob is a father, those kids are brothers and sisters ...and they just lost a special baby that was very loved and wanted.  They are hurting!  Put yourself in their shoes. Alright, I'm climbing down off my soapbox now.

Friday Funny

This is how Caleb often vacuums the kitchen floor...with noise-canceling headphones on. The vacuum isn't loud at all (it's more of a floor sweeper), but he likes being able to say, "What?  I can't hear you!" and laugh.  *sigh...*

RMH Photos

I have a few photos to share from two recent RMH events.  The first is when the youth group made 20 no-sew blankets for The Welcome Project to give to kids at RMH when they check in.  It is an awesome organization for the youth group to join up with, and they seemed to have a great time doing it! Everybody is busy at work! We did all "boy" blankets, since the staff said they often run out of the kind of blankets older boys might like and end up giving them girly patterns. We even had a mom stay to help!  (She's also Caleb's Mom's Morning Out teacher, and he adores her!!) This beautiful girl took all of the squares we cut out to make the corners of the blankets, and made two awesome pillows with them!  She attached a photo pocket in the front and put youth group photos in them, so now they are one-of-a-kind decorations for the youth room.  So creative!! The group with their finished products I was much more diligent at taking pictures at the blanket-ma...
