Thankful Thursday

Last week, on Thanksgiving, I told you I was thankful for the love that these two have for each other.   Here's the proof. This week, I'm still thankful for that.  They are so sweet together! In other, unrelated news, my lack of posting has been due to an issue I've been having with Google saying I have used up my photo storage allotment.  After a week of trying to figure out a way around it (without deleting precious photos from my blog!), I broke down and paid for the cheapest subscription.  Since it took me 5 years to fill up the free allotment, this storage should last me a while!  It's still frustrating though.  :(

Technical Difficulties

I don't know why my videos aren't posting.  I embedded them from Facebook, but I'm thinking that my permissions of Facebook are keeping them from being shown.  I am going to try another way, but probably won't have time until tomorrow night.  I'm sorry!!  :( Until then, contemplate the affects of three weeks of Kindergarten:  my son was playing "Having a baby" with my niece yesterday.  No more Baby Story when he's around!  Then he told me all about his girlfriend and how he stole her from another little boy.  She's beautiful and he loves her.  I asked if the other boy was upset, and Caleb's reply was no because he likes boys anyway. Is this what I'm in for????  (For the record, we had several discussions last night!)

How to Miss a Life

Update 5/16/12:  It was brought to  my attention that I forgot to link the article!  Sorry!  You can read the article at the link below. I read this article the other day, and it was SUCH a good reminder for me!! I'm not one to be on my phone very much out in public.  I might send a quick text if it's really important, but I'm not surfing the internet or anything.  I don't play online games and hate phones at the dinner table.  I have to admit that I felt pretty good when I first started reading the article! Then I got to the part about checking your email and getting mad when your child interrupts you. Or when she mentions using car time to make phone calls instead of talking to your child.  (I have Blue Tooth through my car, so it makes it very convenient to get phone calls out of the way.) Spanked. While I absolutely must have a phone with me in case something happens with Abby, I am really going to work on using other electronics ...

Messing Around

I'm learning a new program called Animoto.  It's a subscription, but they have a free version as well.  I'm trying to decide if I like it enough to purchase it.  I'll be doing the slide show for our 5th grade recognition, and a fellow teacher recommended this to me as an easy way to put show the pictures. This is only a 30 second video because that's the limit without paying, but I think the concept is pretty cool!  It took me about 5 minutes to do the entire thing.  It is SO easy!  There is music, so be sure to pause the music player at the bottom of the blog before playing the video.
