Do you remember Megan? She was one of our favorite NICU nurses and the one who was such an encouragement and support to me during those first few difficult weeks. We have kept in close touch with her since Abby left the NICU. She's a special lady!
Well, she moved to Hawaii in March, but just happened to be back for some wedding planning (She's getting married in July--and the name of her dress is Abby!) and to be in a friend's wedding.
This wonderful woman was in a wedding the night before the dedication, didn't go to bed until 3 a.m., and drove from Towson down to our church to celebrate with us!! Isn't she amazing?!
This was her first glimpse of Abby since she was six weeks old, weighing just a little over 5 lbs!
Abby warmed right up to her!

See that little hint of a smile??
This girl has a gift. If you have to have a baby in the NICU, it is so wonderful to know that nurses like Megan are there taking care of him or her. She is so compassionate!
Thank you so much for coming, Megan! You will forever have a special place in our hearts. We'll be sure to save you a ticket for Abby's high school graduation! :)
