Just wanted to drop a quick note to say th...Julie,

Just wanted to drop a quick note to say that I admire your (and your families) courage, patience, and persistence in taking care of sweet Abby. As a note of encouragement to you, I wanted to tell you about my sister, Kelsie. She was supposed to be born with Downs--all the test said so. The doctors even told my mom she needed to "consider all her options" because Kelsie's life would be miserable. My parents prayed for her, did research, we even went to classes and counseling on how to take care of special needs babies. Kelsie turned 21 in June, completely healthy. She has been able to live as a testament to the Lord's healing powers and has an incredible built-in ministry. On the other side of the coin, my sister, Savannah, fell sick when she was four with Encephalitis and Meningitis, both of which caused permanent brain damage. Savannah goes to therapy five days a week and still struggles to complete some tasks other kids her age are able to do with out problems, but she is growing and thriving and happy. She started third grade this week. :)

I have no doubt Abby will be the same way as both of my sweet sisters. God will use her and your family to do something amazing. He has a plan, even when we don't understand.

We are praying for you, your family, and sweet Abby. May HIS will be done.Melaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11216965505701815804noreply@blogger.com
